Abstract
The qualitative changes of the mangrove ecosystem of the Kenyan coast are being studied. A multitemporal database is build based on aerial photographs. The use of satellite images will be evaluated. A spatial dynamic model will be elaborated in a GIS, considering physical factors like groundwateroutflow, and socio-economic factors.
