Abstract
    Report on the bacteriological quality of the beach-water of the Belgian coast in the summer-season of 1986. Comparison with the situation in 1980-1985. The report gives the results of the bacteriological quality control of the beach water in 18 bathing-resorts along the Belgian coast. The results for 1986 are compared with the results for earlier years. On the whole, and with the exception of some local pollution where bathing should be prohibited, bathing along the coast represents little or no hasard to health due to bacterial pollution.
