Vincx, M. (1977). Bijdrage tot de kennis van de biologie van Canuella perplexa, T. & A. Scott, 1893 (Copepoda, Harpacticoida). MSc Thesis. Rijksuniversiteit Gent: Gent. 89 pp.
Canuella perplexa is an important Harpacticoida that (a.o.) lives in two brackish water habitats which are being researched thoroughly in this laboratory. This relatively large species was observed more closely in this study. From breeding cultures can be deduced that it eats soildiatomes; also bacteria associated with the detritus are part of its diet.
