Abstract
During 1999, 2000 and 2001 the jellyfish Pelagia noctiluca (Forskål, 1775) was present in the harbour of Zeebrugge. During spring 2000, the species was abundant. They feed on hydromedusa like Clythia hemisphaerica, Eutonia indicans and on Peurobrachius pileus. Nemopsis bachei, although also present in high numbers, was not taken as food.
