Abstract
There was analyzed the AE signals of the intake valve with the crack closing and AE signals from burned out exhaust valve. Taking into account our previous study "Mathematical modeling of the acoustic emission signals in case of gas leakage in engine cylinder head" this paper contain a calculation of subsonic turbulent gas flow in channel ( defect) with the aim to establish a minimum aperture at which the AE signals are perceptible.
