Abstract
Twenty one macrobenthic species from different phylla have been found for the first time in the French part of the eastern Channel and of the North Sea: four cnidarians (Corymorpha nutans, Garveia nutans, Aglaophenia pluma and Sagartia troglodytes), one nemertean (Tubulanus polymorphus), one priapulid (Priapulus caudatus), four bryozoans (Crisidia cornuta, Escharoides coccinea, Schizoporella longirostris and Phaseostachys spinifera), four Cirripedia (Lepas pectinata, Scalpellum scalpellum, Balanus perforatus and Balanus amphitrite), four malacostracean crustaceans (Nebalia bipes, Eurydice inermis, Ione thoracica and Parasinelobus chevreuxi), four Pycnogonida (Nymphon rubrum and Phoxichilidium virescens) and one Ascidian (Styela clava). Their biotope and geographical distribution are discussed and compared with data from the literature.
