Abstract
    Among the invertebrates taken at the hydrothermal vent areas Lucky Strike, Menez Gwen and 38 degree 20'N zone on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, four species of halacarid mites were found, i.e. Agaue plutonius sp. nov., Halacarus prolongatus sp. nov., Halacarellus alvinus Bartsch and Copidognathus alvinus Bartsch.
